Do I need to wash, and blow dry my hair before my appointment?

Hair Must be Clean, BLOWN out and Tangle-free. Please DO NOT put any products on your hair before your appointment.

Can I bring an extra guess or my child with me to my appointment?

Children or extra guest are not allowed during the time of your appointment if they don't have an appointment.  Seating is Limited.

Can I be refunded if I don’t like my hair?

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. We pride ourselves in our services and the maintenance of your loc installation. We will inspect and correct any issues you may have with your locs.

What kind of hair is used for the FAUX Locs?

Premium SYNTHETIC BLEND, for our faux locs ONLY. We do not use outside hair because we know what works best for the styles that we produce. 

What colors Verified Hair use for Faux Locs?

How long can your hair be for my services? 

typically, 3 inches or more 

Are all of the locs permanent? 

No, all of the faux locs you're able to take out. 

HOW DO I TAKE MY LOCS OUT? 

This is only for Faux Locs ONLY cut under where you think your hair stops and twist the loc in the opposite direction in which I wrapped the loc, tug and pull and they will start unraveling. if you come to a piece that won't budge use scissors to cut. Be careful look what you're doing and don't cut your real hair.

Do you take locs down? 

We do not take locs down at the moment.

Is my hair too long for your faux loc styles?

No client hair is too long, Due to price increase their will be no upcharge to fold hair that's longer it's included in the pricing.

Can I wash my locs after my install?

Yes you can do light shampoo's after two weeks. You will receive a wash at every retie as well. another great alternative to shampooing is our Mango Mint co-wash swabs make a great solution to clean and also adds vitamins and moisture to your locs. 

Each swab is submerged in a cleaning solution no shampoo needed. Pair with my All-in-one Mango Mint scalp serum, which is not oil- based to moisturize your scalp, can also be rubbed on your locs as well to hydrate. Finish off with my Rose' coco hair and skin moisture polish to lock in moisture and add softness. You can purchase these products on our website here (Verified Hair Products tab)

What if a loc slip or fall out?

If any slippage may occur, please keep it and it will be reinforced at your next retie. While this doesn't happen often...... I want you to know how to proceed if so. 

Additional tips to take care of your hair:

No hand in hair syndrome after you get your extensions, I know you want to play in your hair who wouldn't lol. don’t! Just simply let them be they still have a process to go through your loc extension journey has just begun! 

1. Less tension and pulling as possible. 

2. Some pin ups and pull backs or ponies are fine but be careful in how you handle your locs they need to have a smooth transition into budding which is where the locs will start to mend and lock together. 

3. No washing for the first 4 to 6 weeks. 

4. If you need to cleanse your scalp you can use my mango mint co wash swabs found on my website at www.verifiedhair.com

No shampoo or water needed. 

Follow up with my mango mint serum to hydrate and moisturize your scalp and locs it also keeps down the dandruff build up and any other scalp issues you may hair it also detangles and leaves your curls or coils poppin’ on the ends. 

4. Another way to hydrate your locs is with water or rose water simply fill a spray bottle, mist do not over saturate your hair mixing a little bit of leave in conditioner in your water bottle is fine too. 

Your locs will start solidifying from the bottom up so if you see little soft balls forming on the ends that ok your locs are becoming solid don’t panic! 

5. Tying your locs up is fine.

6. Going swimming is fine but a helpful tip, braid locs up and put them in a ponytail so water wont weigh locs down once they dry feel free to take them down. 

7. Working out is fine. 

8. If you decide you want color after your locs are don’t I won’t advise getting a full head of custom color only Ombre or tips. A color deposit like black or brown is fine for full head coverage.

9. If you choose color, please state that before your appointment so your locs can be colored before your service if the stylist's schedule permits them to be colored beforehand.

Note that color can be done up to a light blonde and color can be deposited but it’s very damaging to do lightest blonde like 613 (not recommended). 

 10. If you opt out of coming back to me for re tie and maintenance, please find                                                                                                                                                                                            a reputable loc specialist who knows how to maintenance and repair extensions if needed.
